2.5 mm Thick, Premium VG-10 Steel Blade

The VG-10 stainless steel blade of the Delica 4 is flat sabre ground, which produces a fine cutting edge whilst maintaining overall blade strength. The handle is made of fibreglass reinforced nylon with a skeletonised stainless steel inner handle. The trademark 13 mm round hole enables one-handed blade opening. Holding the knife in the palm of the hand at the base of the fingers, grasp the handle with the tips of the fingers, insert the thumb pad in the round hole, then slide the blade away from the handle using the thumb.

To close the blade with one hand, holding the knife with the blade pointing up, depress the lock release bar with the thumb. Ensure the index finger is in a forward position at the front of the handle near the blade pivot. A gentle flick of the wrist causes the blade to fall forwards so that the unsharpened portion rests on the index finger. The blade can then be closed fully using the thumb.
